As part of the extension of its campus in Cergy, ESSEC is redesigning its spaces to encourage collaborative and innovative modes of learning. The redesign of our signage is fully in line with this ambitious approach: it aims to provide better information on new uses, while supporting and guiding students on a daily basis.
We embarked on this project by rethinking ESSEC's signage charter, applicable to all the school's buildings and sites. The graphic approach gives life to clear, coherent and scalable signage, in harmony with the architecture of the premises and the new educational uses.
Co-working spaces, informal exchange zones and student pathways now form a fluid environment, in which signage guides without constraining. Designed as a genuine orientation and enhancement tool, it reinforces the identity of the site while facilitating the user experience.
Each graphic element is part of a continuous visual narrative, designed to link spaces and structure pathways. By ensuring consistency between media, typography and visual codes, signage becomes a clear, intuitive and engaging thread.
The system developed is deliberately modular: it can keep pace with the constant evolution of the campus and adapt to contrasting architectural styles. This flexibility makes it possible to adjust the system according to the needs of the client.
