To celebrate its 300th anniversary, Maison Rémy Martin aims to extend its brand identity throughout its historic site in Cognac and redesign its signage to offer visitors a truly unique experience. The project must be approved by the Architects of the Buildings of France, who are committed to preserving the heritage of Cognac’s historic center.

The design work began with an exploration of materials inspired by Cognac itself. Since Cognac is an assemblage of eaux-de-vie, we chose to reflect this richness through the materiality of the signage by combining two finishes: one matte, the other glossy, playing with light. To assert Rémy Martin’s brand territory, we incorporated the Centaur’s javelin — the brand’s emblematic logo. This javelin splits the signage elements in two, generating a three-dimensional pattern that brings the lettering to life and evokes the golden shimmer of Cognac.
