From One Louvre to Another, Opening Exhibition at the Louvre Abu Dhabi

Louvre Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, Émirats arabes unis, 2017

Scenographer : Jean-Julien Simonot

The opening exhibition, which accompanied the inauguration of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, told the story of the long birth of the Parisian museum from the end of the 17th to the 19th century. The new space holds 150 works from the collections of the Louvre in Paris as well as the Château de Versailles.

The graphic design work of an exhibition in three languages—Arabic, English, and French—began with the choice of typographies. We searched for a font family that would look harmonious together, keeping in mind that each language needed to provide an optimal reading experience to all the visitors.

Large visuals of the Louvre Paris allow the visitors of the Louvre Abu Dhabi to travel the other side of the world during their visit.
