The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto is the first museum in North America entirely dedicated to Islamic arts. Its purpose is to promote the multiple artistic forms as well as Muslim society throughout the world.

The design and signage followed the museographic principles, between minimalism and elegance. The museography, designed by the Adrien Gardère Studio, was based on a geographical as well as a chronological visit. The visitor can get immersed in the hidden details of the works thanks to multimedia devices.
